Chaghig is by the far the most effective spoken Arabic teacher I’ve met. She is simultaneously technical and practical, focused on fundamental grammar and high-frequency colloquial vocabulary. She is a huge proponent of proper pronunciation, which is something I found lacking in other Arabic tutors. I came into Chaghig’s class with a messy understanding of Arabic and she helped me structure everything properly in an extremely logical and easy to understand way, while also leveraging my existing knowledge to get to a higher, more intelligent conversational level. She also presents Arabic in a way that embraces anyone who is interested, which is a huge plus. I am amazed by how much spoken Arabic I’m able to understand after Chaghig’s classes. I recommend her to anyone interested in learning spoken Arabic.

This three-month intensive course was genuinely the most effective Arabic course I have ever taken (and I took a looot!). In just a few months, it helped me make remarkable progress and brought my Levantine Arabic to a completely new level.

We learned through music, films, videos and authentic cultural content, which made every lesson engaging, interactive and connected to the way Lebanese Arabic is actually spoken. Chaghig is such an impressive teacher! When you start looking at the Arabic alphabet it can be overwhelming but Chaghig does such a good job that day by day you don’t realize you are making leaps and bounds! After my 1 month class I could read the whole alphabet and even write in the alphabet and I understood basic phrases. There is still a whole lifetime to learn about this beautiful language that the instructor really illustrates it’s beauties but for one month of immersion to come out with the level I walked out with was well worth the class! 🤗

An excellent introductory course to Lebanese arabic! Chaghig struck the perfect balance between theory and practical application. The group exercises during the virtual classes allowed us to put new concepts into practice immediately. Well-organized and perfectly paced—a great learning experience overall!

I followed the General 1 course this year amd I find it very helpful. A lot of practical vocabulary combined with a clear and comprehensible presentation of the Lebanese grammar. Ideal solution for those who specifically aim at the Lebanese dialect, rather than the MSA. Shagigh's book, that we used during the course, is written in a very clear way and contains plenty of everyday phrases and dialogues.

I took a class with Chaghig and really enjoyed my experience. In fact, I'm already thinking of taking another class very soon! What I especially appreciated was the amount of content that you are given throughout the course. Chaghig is also a really knowledgeable, attentive teacher and she knows how to explain concepts and define words that can't always be translated into English. I enjoyed my time and would recommend this course to anyone interested in the Lebanese language.

Chaghig has an inexhaustible amount of patience. Her lessons are well thought out, relevant, and adaptive to her learners. She is incredibly supportive without being condescending or judgemental, which is not the easiest thing to do as an instructor for adult learners with limited time and attention. I think that I am not alone in saying this as a member of the Lebanese diaspora whose parents were trying to survive and assimilate when they immigrated, but I used to feel very intimidated and a great amount of shame in not speaking Arabic. Chaghig's courses have enabled me to shake this off and I am endlessly grateful because she has brought me closer to my family and my culture.
